Lipolysis
Although it's a relatively new aesthetic procedure in the U.S., lipolysis, sometimes referred to as "lipodissolve," is quickly generating excitement in Illinois and beyond. Who wouldn't be interested in simply "dissolving" their stubborn fat deposits with a few injections? If you're intrigued, click for a free consultation with Dr. Rios to find out more today.
Lipolysis is truly an international therapy. From the basic idea an Italian professor had almost two decades ago, to testing in practice by a Brazilian dermatologist, to further development by a physician in Austria, lipolysis has proven to be an effective method for blasting those fatty pockets away. It has been used by physicians in Europe and Latin America for several years and many believe it delivers results similar to liposuction. And as a non-invasive procedure, the advantages in minimizing downtime for patients are huge.
The injectable substance has a complex name, phosphatidylcholine (PPC), but it's naturally made from soybeans. And it's also produced naturally in the human body where it performs functions associated with metabolizing fat.
As you and Dr. Rios plan your treatment, you'll decide which areas of the body to target. Dr. Rios will inject the areas directly with very thin needles, and the PPC substance will break down the fat cells in those areas. The cells will release the fat they've been stubbornly holding onto and your body will flush it out, thereby reducing love handles, saddlebags, fatty bulges around the knees--whatever your trouble spots have been. Injections can even be done on the face in most cases.
Your treatment will be performed on an outpatient basis under a topical anesthetic. You can expect some bruising which will dissipate in a few days. You may need just one treatment, or you may find you need a few rounds of injections for best results.
