This 21 year old patient from the Joliet, Illinois area was considering breast implants and breast augmentation to take her bra size from a 34B with padding to a size in the D cup range. She wanted a sexier, more feminine physique and, like many women with smaller breasts, didn't want to continue shopping for and wearing padded bras that never seemed to fit quite right.

The measurements I took during our consultation revealed that her left breast was slightly larger than her right breast. Based on the patient's dimensions, I recommended subpectoral placement of the implant, which is placement of the implant below the chest muscle. I believe subpectoral placement produces a very natural result by reducing the chances of seeing or feeling the implant. After she and I reviewed implant options, she selected high profile saline implants filled to 400cc on the left and 425cc on the right.

I performed her breast augmentation procedure on an outpatient basis and she was able to return home the same day of the surgery. As you can see in the postoperative photo, her breasts are more proportionate to her frame as a result of the breast enlargement. Like most of my breast augmentation patients, this young woman was able to resume most of her daily activities within a few days of her surgery.
