This is a 22 year old woman who at 5'10" tall felt that her breast size was out of proportion with her stature. In particular, her small chest highlighted her smaller shoulders and made her waist appear larger than it really was. At her Naperville area cosmetic surgery consultation it was clear that this was a case of significant micromastia (substantial lack of breast tissue). Her small breast appearance had her very self conscious and she also was concerned about some degree of breast asymmetry, with the right breast having slightly more tissue than the left.

The way to correct breast asymmetry is to place implants of 2 different sizes. For her, a 425 cc silicone implant was placed in her right breast while a slightly larger 450 cc model was placed on the left. She chose silicone implants because she liked the way these implants felt and looked compared to saline. Both implants were placed using inframammary incisions underneath the breast.

Immediately after surgery, she some minor residual scarring was present. Although all incisions leave permanent scar, those associated with breast augmentation usually heal well and in almost all cases, breast augmentation scars are practically unnoticeable once fully healed. She's happy with the result of her breast enlargement near Naperville, Illinois and now enjoys a much improved overall body proportion.
