This 19 year old woman from Joliet, Illinois wanted breast implants / breast augmentation. She is 5'8" tall and was wearing a B cup bra. She wanted something more proportional to her height, in the D cup range. I met with her during a consultation where we discussed her options in more detail.

Because of her age, cohesive silicone gel implants were not available. This implant type is only approved for women age 22 and older for primary (first time) augmentation. Still, saline implants have been continuously available for over 30 years and by using advanced surgical techniques I am able to create a very attractive and natural-looking result using this implant type.

During surgery I placed her implants below the pectoral muscle. She chose high profile implants. An implant's "profile" refers to the extent to which is "sticks out" from the chest wall. A high profile implant projects farther from the chest wall than a moderate profile implant. High profile implants may be used to create a flattering shape and increased cleavage.

To help her achieve a full D cup size, each implant was filled to 400 cc's. This Joliet plastic surgery patient had no complications following surgery, and in addition she required no drains, no pain pumps, and no surgical bra or wrap. As you can see her incisions are not at all noticeable.
